Criteria

The Conference of Women in Real Estate is a non profit organization committed to serving our community and those in need.  Through our scholarship program we have helped numerous students achieve their dreams of higher education.  It is our desire to reward those who have demonstrated similar generous attitudes with our scholarship awards.  Consideration will be given to quality of work achieved as well as quantity of time donated.  In keeping with our core beliefs of helping those in need, special consideration is also given to those who have circumstances affecting their ability to achieve a college education.

 
  • Must be a high school senior
  • One award per student
  • Open to all that apply
  • Minimum 2.0 GPA to apply, but award not based on academics
  • Copy of high school transcript
  • The funds must be used within 1 year of the award date
  • Check will be made payable to the student upon receipt of paid courses at their choice of college, university, technical or vocational school. A minimum registration of 12 credits is required  (Individual HS rules apply for disbursement)

  • Number of scholarships and dollar amounts vary based on available funds
  • Application deadline April 15th, 2009

Requirements
  •  Please fill out application completely
  •  Please comment on the following topics/items in your essay. 
  1. Give a background on the organization you currently volunteer with (years they have been in business, type of work they do, who they help, etc…)
  2. Tell us about your experience as a volunteer with the organization (your responsibilities/duties as a volunteer)
  3. How has being a volunteer at this organization affected you?
  4. Comment on whether or not there are certain obstacles or circumstances in your life that would increase your need to receive this scholarship

All scholarship recipients, the scholarship amounts and number of scholarships awarded are at the sole discretion of the CWRE Scholarship Committee and its board members.
